THE TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLE CO.
The Triumph Motorcycle Co. is situated on the outskirts of Hinckley. The regular plant tours
were suspended last year due to development work but there is a planned open day on the 16th May 2004 and tickets
are available now for this event which will run from 10am to 5pm, with food and drink available.

MALLORY PARK
Mallory Park is renowned as being one of - if not the best - circuit for spectator
viewing in the country.
Located in a natural amphitheatre, the grassy banks that overlook the circuit enable you to see all of the action. This is especially true when the oval Mallory Mile circuit is in use for Eurocars - you can see all of the circuit from any spectator point.
STONEY COVE
Stoney Cove's reputation for being the best inland diving centre reaches far and
wide. It's not unusual to meet somebody diving half-way around world on the
Great Barrier Reef who did their training here in the heart of Leicestershire.
HINCKLEY GOLF COURSE
Hinckley Golf Course is situated in a rural location, to the South of Leicester,
overlooking some of the most attractive countryside in the county. Golf was first played at
Hinckley in 1894 on Burbage Common.
The course remained 9 holes on common ground until August 1983 when the new clubhouse opened. Two holes and three greens from the original course are still in use today keeping the bond between the old and the new.
The Head Professional at the club is Richard Jones, who is assisted by Teaching Professional Nick Oakley. Nick provides instruction to all levels of golfer, from beginners to scratch players, and Richard maintains an up-to-date stock of golf accessories in the well appointed pro shop.

The Hinckley Times is Hinckley's local weekly Newspaper and hosts many interesting facts
about Hinckley and the surrounding area including the latest local news and the history of
Hinckley's ghosts . . .

thatched cottages from the mid-seventeenth century once used for framework knitting.
BURBAGE COMMON AND WOODS
The Leicestershire & Rutland Ornithological Society website has some great photographs and
information about this local beauty spot where some wonderful wildlife can be found [particularly birds]
such as Jays, Nuthatches, Greater Spotted Woodpeckers,
Linnets, Yellowhammers, Reed Bunting, Skylark
and Tawny Owls - to name but a few!
THE CREATIVE NEEDLE SEWING CLUB
The Creative Needle Sewing Club is a locally based Internet Sewing Club with over 6,000 members worldwide. They have wonderful
exclusive designs at discount prices, all of which are available to buy on their web site.
